Introduction to Bookbinding Workshop
Intro to Bookbinding
Join local printmaker and bookbinder Kirstie Williams to learn some basic glueing and stitching techniques to make your own small notebooks.
On this one day workshop you'll learn about different book structures, and will practise pamphlet stitch, Japanese stab binding and concertina folded books.
You'll be guided through each technique in a step by step way with tutor advice and guidance.
Making your own small books can make perfect gifts, and great ways to use up leftover papers.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners in bookbinding. All abilities welcome.
All equipment and materials needed during the workshop will be provided.
You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or eat out locally in Meanwood.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
