Kirstie will teach you how to use plants and vegetables to create natural colour onto cloth on this one-day workshop. You'll create your own chart of small fabric colour swatches and learn how to use mordants to alter the colours which can be achieved from each dye.
No previous experience needed as we'll cover the basics. Those with some previous dyeing experience may wish to join to further their knowledge.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
All equipment and materials needed during the workshop are provided. Please bring your own apron, and wear old clothes as natural dyes can be messy!
You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or eat out locally in Meanwood.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
